How CFCI is Working in Nicaragua

Projects  •  Missionaries  •  Trips

Nicaragua is located just north of Costa Rica and south of Honduras. Over the past 50 years Nicaragua has experienced devastating natural disasters and political upheaval, leaving half of the population living on less than $2 a day. The GDP (Gross Domestic Product) per capita is a little more than $1,000. Many pastors in Nicaragua have little to no formal training on how to lead their people well.

CFCI-Nicaragua’s vision is to train and equip leaders in the body of Christ, by reaching out to their communities through theological development and pastoral training, education for low-income areas, women’s ministry, community outreach and development as well as health and medical care for low-income families.

In Nicaragua we are determined that there is no place without witness through the medical evangelistic brigades where 75% of the patients are non-believers, and we expose them to the message of the good news, resulting in new converts, reconciliations with God, dedication and affirmation in the walk with God.

At the same time, six days a week before starting to care for patients at the Medical Clinic we share a devotional where we focus on the patients, so they can look at God, who He is and what He has been doing in their lives, so that they put their faith and trust in God. We use the tool ´´Steps up to life´´ to help people find where they are in their walk with God, from being indifferent to being on the last stage of the program, which is saving faith.

God has shown us the urgency need to serve, train, and walk with pastors, leaders, women leaders, youth ministry; we do this through our training programs, bible studies, small groups with men and women with the goal of empowering them, so that later these groups can multiply all the tools and resources we have put in their hands, so the body of Christ is qualified for all good work. “Biblical femininity, the words of a woman, redeemed sexuality, your body matters, shame, in search of authentic manhood, a man and his faith, leadership values, in Search of sexual purity, history makers, inductive bible study, leadership motivation, roots, lead today, etc.” are to name some of the resources and tools for us to share with the churches to help them with their vision.

We do our part by working with women from the community through the sewing workshop, where we create an environment of communion, Christ-Centric, and entrepreneurship so these women believe in themselves, in God and what they can do to generate resources for their families through learned skills.

Projects are carried out to provide integral care to people, such as clinics, food centers, food delivery.

In our base we make sure to take care of the needy “The little brother”, through our programs of free medical assistance and donation of medicines, integral medical care for pastors and their families, donation of school scholarships, donation of uniforms, school supplies, counselling, motivational talks, delivery of 100 plates of food weekly in our community food center, together with another ministry we build houses for low-income families.
