A little about Paul Haefner and Yasmid Espinosa Patino:
Paul worked as a biomedical engineer for twenty-nine years. He began volunteering as a mentor to at-risk youth at a Minnesota juvenile treatment center in 2004. In 2014, God called him to the mission field in Medellin, Colombia. Paul and Yasmid met through a mutual friend and the two were married in June of 2015. In September, they began working in prison ministry.
Yasmid was working as a systems engineer when she received the call to ministry in 2004. She participated in short-term missions with CRU in Brazil and Paraguay and served with Paul in prison ministry from 2016 to 2020. She also supported the Bethsaida ministry of CFCI Colombia. Her advanced degrees specializing in both human rights and psycho-spiritual care, prepared her for working with vulnerable communities and emotionally wounded populations.
Paul and Yasmid continue to serve in their ministry, Flechas de Libertad (Arrows of Freedom), a ministry they developed in 2016 aimed at helping vulnerable populations, including migrants, displaced people, and prisoners.
