More about Zimbabwe Medical Mission Trip: Hospital Ministry, Patient Care & Prayer Outreach:

Serve alongside local ministry leaders in Zimbabwe by bringing prayer, encouragement, compassion, and practical support to hospital patients and families walking through difficult moments.

In many communities throughout Zimbabwe, families face overwhelming challenges when it comes to healthcare, access to medication, transportation, and emotional support. Many patients arrive at hospitals carrying not only physical pain, but also fear, loneliness, financial stress, and uncertainty about the future.

At CFCI, we believe the Gospel is holistic.

That means we care about both spiritual and practical needs — walking alongside people through compassion, prayer, encouragement, presence, and the hope and love of Jesus.

Hospital ministry creates opportunities to remind people they are not forgotten.

Through patient visits, prayer ministry, encouragement, listening, practical support, and relationship-building, teams have the opportunity to serve individuals and families during some of the hardest moments of their lives.

Sometimes ministry looks simple:
Sitting beside someone.
Listening to their story.
Praying with a family.
Helping provide medication assistance.
Offering encouragement when someone feels alone.

But those moments matter deeply.

You’ll serve alongside Zimbabwean ministry leaders who are already deeply invested in their communities. Together, you’ll help create spaces where patients and families experience compassion, dignity, hope, spiritual encouragement, and the love of Jesus in tangible ways.

Approximately 74% of Zimbabwe’s population lives on less than $5.50 a day, and many families struggle to afford even basic medical care and medication.

This ministry is about being present, showing compassion, and reminding people that God sees them in the middle of their pain.

What Ministry Could Look Like

  • Visiting and praying with hospital patients
  • Encouraging families & caregivers
  • Prayer ministry & spiritual encouragement
  • Listening & relationship-building
  • Supporting medication assistance efforts
  • Worship & testimony sharing
  • Community outreach & compassion ministry
  • Serving alongside local churches & leaders
  • Encouraging healthcare workers & volunteers
  • Bringing hope through presence and compassion

Through CFCI Zimbabwe, teams, churches, schools, students, healthcare workers, and individuals have opportunities to serve alongside local ministries in meaningful ways throughout the year.

And this is part of something bigger.

As CFCI looks ahead, we are committed to seeing 1 MILLION LIVES forever changed through the ministry of Jesus around the world. Every prayer prayed, every patient encouraged, every family supported, and every act of compassion is part of that mission.

You don’t need medical training to make an impact.
You simply need compassion, humility, and a willingness to love people well.
