Guatemala Women’s Ministry: Widows, Single Mothers & Family Support

Come alongside widows, single mothers, and vulnerable women in Guatemala through relationship-based ministry that brings encouragement, community, practical support, discipleship, and the hope of Jesus.

Women of Faith and Hope (Mujeres de Fe y Esperanza) is a ministry in Chimaltenango dedicated to creating safe spaces where women can be seen, heard, supported, and reminded that they are not alone.

At CFCI, we believe the Gospel is holistic.

That means we care about the whole person — spiritual, emotional, relational, and practical needs. Through women’s ministry, we help create environments where women experience dignity, belonging, encouragement, healing, and the love of Christ in tangible ways.

Many women in the communities we serve are carrying heavy burdens while navigating poverty, abandonment, grief, instability, financial hardship, and the responsibility of caring for their families alone. This ministry exists to help create a different path — one rooted in community, prayer, practical care, discipleship, and hope for the future.

Through Bible studies, prayer, encouragement, food distribution, mentorship, and relationship-building, women are reminded that they are deeply loved by God and supported by a community that cares for them.

For visiting mission teams, this ministry creates meaningful opportunities to listen, pray, encourage, and walk alongside women in authentic and personal ways.

Sometimes ministry looks simple:
Sharing a testimony.
Listening to someone’s story.
Praying together.
Distributing food supplies.
Sitting beside someone and reminding them they are seen and valued.

But those moments matter deeply.

You’ll serve alongside Guatemalan ministry leaders who are already deeply invested in their communities. Together, you’ll help create spaces where women experience support, belonging, dignity, spiritual encouragement, and the hope and love of Jesus.

This ministry takes place through Women of Faith and Hope (Mujeres de Fe y Esperanza) in Chimaltenango, Guatemala, where women gather to grow spiritually, support one another, and experience community rooted in faith and compassion.

Through CFCI Guatemala, teams, churches, schools, students, and individuals have opportunities to serve alongside local ministries in meaningful ways throughout the year.

And this is part of something bigger.
