Project 150 offers support and services to homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students in the Las Vegas area, so they can stay in school through graduation and learn the life skills necessary to be successful. It was organized in December 2011 when the founders heard about 150 homeless high school students at one Las Vegas high school who needed support over the Christmas Break. The effort has expanded to helping over 1,900 students in 43 high schools, providing everything from food, clothing, and toiletries to school supplies and bus passes. One of their highlighted events is the annual “Las Vegas Prom Closet”, where the teens can “shop” for new and gently used prom attire.
