Panama is the bridge to the Americas and a center of international commerce. Following the completion of the Panama Canal in 1914, over 800,000 ships have passed through the canal, from one ocean to the other. Though Panama is prospering, it has one of the worst income disparities between the rich and the poor in the world. Roy Gonzalez, Base Director of CFCI Panama, oversees a feeding program for school children, as well as hosting training events and seminars for pastors and other church leadership to better equip them to share the Gospel. The Panama Base also shows Christian movies to the locals as a way to evangelize the lost and broken. The showings bring hope to the people and salvation to many!
